Comfortable, durable and versatile – this new version of the Strathcona Pants II hiking pants has been ergonomically refined and modernized in terms of fit. You can adjust the width of the leg cuffs with a drawstring. The robust, double woven material was created from a recycled material and, thanks to its high elastane content, follows your every move. You’ll really love this stretch when you’ve got to do some scrambling on your next hike or trekking expedition. The hiking pants are extremely windproof yet also highly breathable, which really helps with temperature regulation. The softshell-like pants feature concealed zip pockets, one leg pocket and one back pocket. These pants are produced with Eco Finish, an environmentally-friendly water repellent that doesn’t use fluorocarbons (PFC), they can easily withstand a light rain or snow shower and are quick drying.
Windproof 80
80 % windproofness due to an extra dense fabric construction (weave, finish or workmanship). What remains of the wind is a pleasantly cooling breath in the microclimate, which achieves unbeatable breathability. This technology is suitable for use in windy weather conditions in high-motion mountain sports.
Green Shape
Green Shape is the VAUDE seal of approval for products that are manufactured in a particularly environmentally friendly manner. This includes the complete production cycle from development and production to maintenance and usability after use. The criteria for this are strict. The products must consist either of at least 90 percent organically grown cotton, recycled materials or the Tencel wood fibre. Furthermore, they must have been dyed with the environmentally friendly dyeing process VAUDE eColour or meet the world’s strictest environmental textile standard Bluesign. VAUDE’s goal is the best for man and nature.
