UV Shield
Many of Jack Wolfskin’s tops and pants have the UV Shield label. In these products, the fabric is particularly tightly woven so that UVA and UVB radiation cannot penetrate. This means they provide durable sun protection on the go to Australian Standard (AS/NZS4399: 1996). Because especially in regions with high UV radiation, such as in the high mountains, on the water or in the snow, extremely good sun protection is important.
Q.M.C.
Quik Moisture Control (QMC) refers to a technology in which the fibers can absorb and transfer moisture particularly quickly. The special processing of the fibers creates an enlarged surface structure, which allows moisture to be better absorbed and distributed over this surface. As a result, the fabric dries extremely quickly and there is optimal moisture management.
Green button
The Green Button is a government seal for sustainably produced textiles. It provides consumers with guidance when shopping. The Green Button sets binding requirements to protect people and the environment in the production process of textiles. A total of 46 demanding social and environmental criteria must be met – from A for wastewater limits to Z for a ban on forced labor. What’s special about the Green Button: In addition to the product, the company as a whole is always reviewed. This makes the Green Button the first government seal to systematically check whether companies in their supply chain are fulfilling their human rights and environmental due diligence obligations. The state sets the criteria and conditions for the Green Button – this creates clarity and trust. Independent inspection bodies monitor compliance with the criteria.
